Culture's
harmony with nature
This three hour trip is designed
to allow visitors to discover the beauty of Belize and appreciate
our culture's harmony with nature. We offer five programs
to accomplish this: The Eco-Museum, Garden
Agriculture, A Nature Trail, The Museum of History and Art, and
the Hibiscus Feast.
|
|

(Culture & Nature
) 20~30 Minutes
We
begin with a visit to our Eco-Museum which houses our most important
Belizean Tropical Treasures. It is 80% constructed and decorated
with sustainable natural resources and reclaimed materials. The
Museum also functions as a restaurant and gift shop selling hand
made Belizean craft items |
|
Edible Garden & Birding Courtyard
20~30 Minutes
The
second program is Garden Agriculture. This experimental program
highlights our on site cultivation of mushrooms, bamboo, vegetables
and tropical fruit. Also included is a tour of our Aquaponics
System
and birding Courtyard |
|
|
|
Nature Trail & Medical Herb 20~30
Minutes
Next
we visit the Nature Trail which winds through a savannah
ecosystem. Most Belizean savannahs catch fire frequently but
this area has been protected for more than 20 years. We will
identify most of the common plants, many with medicinal uses.
|
|
Art Museum The next stop is
at the Museum of Art and History, which includes "Belize
History in Bottles", "Expressive Paintings of Belize" and "Nature
Artistries of Stone and Roots".
|
|
We conclude with a Hibiscus Feast and a sampling
of Belizean cuisine. The exquisite food, beautiful surroundings
and inspiring tours will let you truly experience life
in tropical Belize.
