My husband, two daughters (age 22 & 25), and I stayed four nights at the Orchid Garden Eco-Village, during our two week family vacation in Belize. Our stay at the Eco-lodge surpassed all of our expectations! The Eco-Village is located 14 miles from Belize City, in a very nice quiet area. The gardens are lovely and lush with natural & native vegetation. We enjoyed the tour given to us of the eco-lodge, which included the very nice museum. We were impressed from the very start with both the friendliness and professionalism of all of the staff working at the eco-lodge. There's no question that ensuring guests have a great time is the # 1 priority of everyone working here. Amy and Robin the hosts here are absolutely FABULOUS! From the time we arrived to our departure, they made sure
that all of our expectations and needs were met, and with friendliness and care. They were very flexible in allowing us to make a change in one of the tours that we selected, answered any and all of our questions about our selected tours, questions about the culture, people, history, and geography of Belize, and addressed any concerns that we had in a very timely and efficient manner. Amy and Robin treat you more like family or friends than just guests. If you need something or have a concern.....just ask!

The food served to us was excellent. Two of the four of us are vegans, and had no problem in getting delicious and hearty vegan meals. This is something that is rare to experience when traveling in a foreign country. The non-vegans in our family were equally pleased with the delicious cuisine served. From the fresh squeezed juice, fresh fruit, home-made bread, etc. served at breakfast, to the delicious 4 course dinners (home-made soups, lobster, delicious desert, etc.) that you're served, you will walk away from the table fully satisfied by both the quality of fresh delicious food, as well as the quantity served. Enough food to satisfy even the hardiest appetites. We felt more like we were in a five star restaurant, than an eco-lodge. The chef and staff who served the meals obviously take pride in what they do. It was very nice getting together with other guests at dinner time to discuss tours, Belize, and other friendly conversation as well. I'm sure if you didn't want to be with a group at dinner, other arrangements could easily be made. We really enjoyed this aspect of our stay.

The three tours that we went on, the trip to Lamanai, ATM, Cave tubing/zip-lines were all great. All were well planned and all arrangements and details well thought out. The tours were well explained ahead of time, so we knew what to bring along with us and exactly what to expect. All we had to do was show up and have fun....which we certainly did! The tour to the zoo in Belize was great, and well worth the visit. Alfredo was a great guide, and does a lot of the driving on other tours, as well. He is well informed of the culture, people of Belize, and in general, is a wealth of information.

The eco-lodge is a very comfortable place to stay. The air-conditioning in the rooms is great......a must in Belize. The beds are comfortable, and the rooms are a nice size. We had a refrigerator in our room, and fresh water was provided to us. The water pressure in the showers could have been a little better, although we didn't find this to be much of a problem for us. Our rooms were cleaned daily, with fresh towels provided. The solar pumped swimming pool is very nice. Both of our daughters really enjoyed their swim in this pool. Our only complaint about the eco-lodge is that it was so hard to leave. We had such a wonderful stay. The four of us would highly recommend staying here, to all of our friends/family, as it was the highlight of our trip. I can see why the eco-lodge is rated # 1 on Trip-Advisor!! Out of the four places we stayed during our travels in Belize, the Orchid Garden Eco-Village was the very best! A big thanks to Amy, Robin, Alfredo, Christine, and all staff for making our stay so special. You should be the ones setting customer service standards for the travel industry. We hope to come back for our Belize Vacations soon!

I can't say enough good things about the Orchid Garden! For a reasonable amount, you are made to feel like a millionaire! Usually I do all the arrangements for everything. It was such a treat to be picked up at the airport and taken to all the wonderful places Belize has to visit. On top of that, you are made to feel like a family member that is welcomed back home. The meals were over the top in quality, quanity and service. The trust worthy staff are commendable in their desire to please you and educate you about their country. I investigated many "inclusives" in Belize and was so happy that I had chosen this one. It was a fabulous experience and created life long cherished memories.

“Unbelievable”

Christine and her staff were absolutely wonderful! She was always concerned about your comfort and that meals were liked, and she even went out of her way for me as I am a picky eater.
The place is very, very clean! The staff are so polite and friendly! Alfredo and Alvero, our drivers were great as they never just dropped you off somewhere, they always stayed with you until you were finished your activity.

Christine & Jason planned our 2 week vacation with something to do every day we were there and every activity we did, water and towels were always supplied!

I recomend that anyone going to Belize should spend some time with the Orchid Garden Eco Village!
