My best friend and I wanted to take a adventured filled vacation and Orchid Village provided us with a fabulous trip package, wonderful food and incredible hospitality.
I have never been treated more thoughtfully. Everyone went above and beyond to ensure that our stay was wonderful... and it truly was.
The phenomenal Alfredo (the most wonderful guide I've every met) preplanned to each of our day trips that we wouldn't be mobbed with people from cruise lines and get caught up in massive groups of tourist. Every trip we had was a true private tour provided by a great/knowledgeable guide (who Alfredo personally knew and selected).
We loved every adventure especially seeing the crystal maiden, touring the zoo (a must see) and swimming with sharks and sting rays. We also loved that Alfredo gave us a real sense of the area's history, wildlife (he knows birds!), people and native treats - try the plastic pudding and orange with salt and hot pepper flakes -- amazing!!
In addition, Christine and the women took care of us were beyond lovely. Our room was spotless (aside a gecko or two) and the food was delicious!!! I still think of the fresh squeezed lime juice.
If you are looking for a wonderful way to experience Belize - Orchid Garden Eco-Village is the sincerely the best!!!
