My wife and I took this trip for pure relaxation and were not disappointed. From the moment we stepped off the plane until we returned to the airport to fly back home, we were completely cared for by Christine and her amazing staff. Everyday after breakfast, Christine would lay out the itinerary for the day and all day trips went off without a single hitch. We would return in the early evening for 5-course meals which were, in a word, amazing! Christine prepares Caribbean dishes with a Thai flare and meets all of her guests dietary needs without fail. The dining rooms are simply beautiful with mahogany dining tables and Lucretia and her sister Arlet provide the best dinner service anywhere. We would go back to Orchid Gardens simply for the meals!

The grounds are clean, well laid out and, as a birder, I added over 45 new birds just taking walks around the gardens and paths in the mornings and evenings. Three parrot species, fork-tailed flycatchers, social flycatchers, green kingfisher, rufous-tailed and cinnamon hummingbirds to name just a few. Not to mention all the orchids, cashew trees, logwood and mahogany trees on the property. We can truly say that Orchid Gardens exceeded our every expectation. We came to Belize as visitors but left Orchid Gardens as friends.
