We spent the month of Feb. 2012 in Belize and the week we spent at the Orchid Garden Eco Village on an Adventure Tour was definitely the highlight.
The staff at the resort works as a team, all making you feel like family.
The healthy, tasty meals were all top notch.
Loved our driver/guides, Alfredo and Alvero, who did so much more for us than just drive.
The Adventure Tour gave us such a great cross-section feel of Belize, from zipping above the rain forest, to floating and boating down the rivers, to climbing the Mayan Temples to learning of the Mayan History and finally enjoying 2 days at the beach on Ambergris Caye, in a beautiful beachside hotel which included snorkelling.
Staying at the Orchid Village, you feel as if you are right in the middle of the jungle.You walk under a thatched roof overhang in front of your door into a modern, large, clean room with a very nice bathroom, a fridge with a constant supply of fresh water and thankfully NO TV.
Thanks to everyone, especially Christine, for tailoring our stay there and making each day special. You all all top notch in our books.
