·        If you have a few hours to know Belize, This is a great tour design for you

·        The main “event” is a Belize familiarization tour which explains some of the major happenings in the natural, cultural, and historical development of Belize. 

·        The tour starts in a “green” building incorporating a number of Belize’s tropical treasures, and decorated with epiphytes and other native rainforest plants - orchids, bromeliads, philodendrons... 

·        The tour includes a “birding courtyard” (a couple recently indentified 40 species of birds in 3 days in this 5 acre space) and an extensive nature trail where you will see most of Belize’s native savannah plant species.

·        The tour takes in the Orchid Garden Eco-Village Museum, which features an Exhibition of Belizean History in Bottles; paintings “ The Expression of Belize”  and a fascinating collection illustrating Nature’s “artistry” in root and stone. 

·        At the end of the tour, enjoy a delicious lunch (The Orchid Garden is justifiably celebrated for the excellence of its food) served at tables made from thick slices of mahogany.  Wash it down with a glass or two of their hibiscus flower iced tea, made from flowers picked each morning from the bushes thronging the resort.
